Embracing Change

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

Part of our journeys of potential is appreciating that our daily thoughts, words and actions provide us with the opportunity to make a difference in our own and others lives. On our journeys we navigate many opportunities, obstacles and choices. So how can embracing change assist us as we stretch, grow and develop?

“Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.” – English Proverb

We love this quote above! It reminds us of another one of our favourites as well, ‘life is change, growth is optional, choose wisely’ – Karen Kaiser Clark. So often we can forget the messages contained in these powerful quotes as we react to and wrestle with the struggle, complexity and uncertainty involved in being human. But in each of these moments that we do forget we have the opportunity to compassionately remember and through hope courageously open ourselves back up so we can explore the possibilities, discover potential and act authentically.

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” – Socrates

So I wonder, what learning, growth, success and connections await me, you, us? Will I, you, we have the courage to keep going, not giving up amongst the challenges, whilst embracing ‘An Attitude of I Can, A Belief in You Can and Inspiring We Can!’ Our journeys of potential are amazing adventures that I, you, we navigate one thought, word or action at a time. Have fun and thanks for the inspiring ripples created by your courageous example, each and every day!

“Hope can be seen out in the garden in a plant that grows from a tiny seed. At first it struggles through the soil, but it persists and continues to go on until it becomes an imposing tree, and then it starts bearing fruit.” – Robert Smith
