Conversation Starter

Catching up with a particular friend recently has taken on a whole new element. He rides his bicycles everywhere, but a new addition to the repertoire has been quite the conversation starter. A milestone birthday saw family having a custom built penny farthing made for him. He's loving riding it, and it's definitely piquiing the interest of many while he's out and about.

There's been many stares. Lots of questions. Some remincing from elder members of the community. And quite a bit of puzzlement. My favourite comment so far came from someone who was completely perplexed. She exclaimed, 'I really don't know how I feel about this'.
